2020 marks the 8th season of BIO Girls.

This year is off to an awesome start! We’ve got a few things to update you all on as we roll into season 8.

For the past 6 years, Two Rivers has been a dependable partner providing high quality products to help facilitate our program including our volunteer guides, curriculum posters, thank you cards and more.

BIO Girls has partnered with Orriginals for the past 7 years for all its apparel needs, including volunteer and participant shirts. Orriginals has provided superior service, they are reliable and are willing to go the extra mile to make internal processes as easy as possible. 

Scheels is committed to providing philanthropic support in each community where they are located and is demonstrating that first-hand through support of the BIO Girls program.

Wells Concrete designs, manufactures and installs structural and architectural precast solutions for architects, building owners, developers and contractors. Wells Concrete is one of the top five precast providers in the U.S. and is also helping to build a strong foundation for adolescent girls by generously investing in BIO Girls.

TEARS was established to support individuals and families who have lost a loved one to suicide and also to provide important education in hopes of preventing suicide in our Grand Forks community and the surrounding region.

Allegro Group is a results-driven consulting and talent acquisition firm, based on Fargo, ND. Led by Kara Jorvig, Allegro Group believes in the mission of BIO Girls and has seen the impact first-hand as Kara’s daughter has been involved in BIO Girls for the past 2 years.

For the past three years, Narrative, a nimble brand, marketing and communications agency focused on helping organizations find and refine their strategy and stories, has been a generous Community Partner, supporting the BIO Girls mission through both financial and in-kind donations.

In 2019, 32 BIO Girls sites impacted 18,000 people through service projects. Help BIO Girls fund service projects for 55 sites in 2020.

The vision of Sanford Health is to improve the human condition at every stage of life through exceptional care, spiritual enrichment, innovation and discovery. Since 2015, Sanford has invested in the well-being of adolescent girls in our region as a Community Partner sponsor of the BIO Girls program.

Each BIO Girls location is powered by volunteers – including a volunteer Site Director that makes it all happen. And it all starts with a person like you saying – “Why not me?” Learn more about how to become a change-maker in your community!

In 2018, a partnership was established with Anita Gust, Ph.D. Assistant Professor, Exercise Science and Wellness at the University of Minnesota-Crookstonat to conduct independent research measuring the change in self-esteem of participants. In 2019, the partnership was expanded to include a collaboration with Darcie Sell, Ph.D. Associate Professor and Chair, Psychology at Concordia College.
