BIO Girls is excited to pilot a new program - BIO Girls Art! Coming to Fargo in February, giving girls the opportunity to participants despite any physical challenges they may face.

The Bismarck Marathon presented by MDU Resources made donations to 28 different local organizations and charities, including BIO Girls!

Dickinson, ND — Earlier this year, Nikki Wolla teamed up with a couple of other moms in the community to launch a Dickinson chapter of BIO (Beauty Inside and Out) Girls, a Fargo-based Christian non-denominational organization.

Waconia, MN — As girls across the Midwest battle anxiety, low self-esteem and other mental health challenges, an area program determined to change this has been growing over the last decade. For Waconia, individuals are raising their hands to support our youth to teach skills and provide resources to strengthen that confidence.

BIO Girls of Jackson/Lakefield assembled plastic lumber chairs for Jackson County Schools. The project was sponsored by Bedford; the employer of BIO Girls volunteer, Kristy Thurmer, who works as a Sr. Mechanical Engineer.

BIO Girls to team with Essentia Health to host the annual Find Your Kind 5K and Youth Run in May.

The Matto Foundation has partnered with Dakota Medical Foundation in launching a new video series, “Building Resilient Kids.”

Noah Breker, a senior at Robbinsdale Armstrong High School, Plymouth, MN has been awarded the Gatorade Minnesota Cross Country Player of the Year 2022-2023 for outstanding performance in cross country. With this prestigious award, winners can designate a $1,000 grant to a 501(c)3 youth sports organization through the Play it Forward Program of the Gatorade Foundation. Breker selected Fargo, ND-based BIO Girls, Inc. to receive his grant. 

GRAND FORKS — As girls across the Midwest battle anxiety, low self-esteem and other mental health challenges, an area program determined to change this has been growing over the last decade.

Last week, the CDC released its report from the 2021 Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS), which examines health behaviors and experiences among U.S. high school students.

We are thrilled to be chosen as one of the beneficiaries for the 2022 Bismarck Marathon!

WADENA — A group of about 30 young girls raced through the streets of Wadena on Wednesday, July 20, with the confidence that they could finish what they started.

Devils Lake helped bring 40 girls together for their inaugural season in the community.

BIO Girls was awarded a grant funded by the FM Area Foundation to double the Fargo-Moorhead area impact! We are so grateful.

“The best part of BIO Girls) is seeing the growth in the girls," Moch said. "From them walking so timidly into the first session and they’re nervous and that kind of mentality. Now, when they come, they come running in and they’re smiling from ear-to-ear, and the other girls are cheering each other on.”

Both Moch and Hanson feel like BIO Girls is a little too good to be true sometimes. Hanson said to cheer these girls on, support them and ask them about the lessons they learned about in BIO Girls.
