Introducing BIO Girls Advocacy Committees

As we have said time and time again, it takes a village.

Raising a kiddo.
Navigating through different seasons of life.
Getting through tough times and joyus ones.

It simply takes a village.

It’s the same with the BIO Girls mission. Starting as a dream nine years ago, it has taken a village to get the BIO Girls program to where we are at today: programming spanning across five states and impacting 1,000+ girls in a single year. Getting to this point has included: fearless people taking the initiative and volunteering to bring BIO Girls to their town, more selfless individuals volunteering to lend a hand as a mentor, parents driving kiddos to and from, professionals reffering participants to our program, grandparents coming to support their grandkids as they run their 5K at the end of the season.

It simply takes a village.

As we approach our 10th year of BIO Girls programming, our village is growing.

Introducing BIO Girls Advocacy Committees.

It’s our pleasure to introduce to you BIO Girls Advocacy Committees. The BIO Girls community is large… espeically when we look at our volunteer Site Directors and Mentors. This has been much of why BIO Girls has had the impact it’s had over the years. Our volunteers. However, while our volunteer force is large, the BIO Girls team of employees remains small.

In 2021, we are introducing Advocacy Committees to help us grow our impact from an operational standpoint:

BIO Girls is preparing for growth. We’re dreaming big, because our mission is big. We are blessed with another band of volunteers in a completely different realm.

It simply takes a village.

We’re overflowing with joy that our just grew by 30.

Thank you to our committee members for volunteering their time and expertise to the BIO Girls mission.

Buckle up, BIO Girls community, we’re in for an exciting ride!

~ BIO Girls Team
