Helping Young Girls and Teens to Boost their Self-Esteem and Mental Health
FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – BIO Girls, an organization dedicated to boosting self-esteem in young girls across the Midwest since 2013, is expanding its efforts to address mental health issues in teenagers. With alarming statistics indicating that one in eight North Dakota girls have attempted suicide, BIO Girls is implementing a preventative approach to tackle these challenges.
Macy Kraemer, the marketing director at BIO Girls, emphasizes the importance of enhancing self-esteem among adolescent girls, as it serves as a significant predictor of emotional and behavioral problems. The organization's programs have demonstrated effectiveness in preventing such issues. With the launch of their new program aimed at teenagers, BIO Girls seeks to empower girls and instill a sense of service to others.
Currently, BIO Girls is gearing up for their upcoming 5K event in May and their summer camp programs.
