Announcing, BIO Girls - Yoga!

In 2019-2020, BIO Girls set out to pilot a number of BIO Girls program types in addition to running.

We just knew, if we could deliver the same, proven BIO Girls confidence building curriculum and replace the running with other types of physical activity we could reach more girls.

After successful pilot programs were run and some lessons learned on how we deliver it best - we are so excited to announce that the BIO Girls - Yoga program will be available for any community starting in 2021!

If you are interested in bringing BIO Girls - Yoga to your community - now is the time to start planning.

Learn more about the volunteer site director role and if it’s right for you —

All BIO Girls volunteer Site Directors are the boots on the ground in a community. You will work to secure a location, secure mentor volunteers, raise the funds, promote locally, facilitate the sessions, and communicate with parents.

BIO Girls provides a lot of support, tools, curriculum and more to get you rolling. More information can be found on our Start A Program page.

Consider instructor and location requirements —

BIO Girls - Yoga programs must have at least one of the volunteer site directors meet the following requirements:

  • RYT 200 certification

  • Experience teaching children’s yoga classes

All facilities need to have adequate space for all participants and volunteers. All facilities need to carry their own licensing to be able to play music or playlists if used during workouts.

Apply Today —

Get the ball rolling and put in an application today.

Generally, 6-12 months lead time is required to bring a new BIO Girls location to fruition. Now is the time to start working on a site in your community for Fall or Winter 2021.

All BIO Girls site director applicants will complete a background check and will go through an interview and reference check with BIO Girls.
