Site Director

Join us! There are over 100 volunteer Site Directors who are paving the way for positive change for girls in their community.

What is a Site Director?

What started in 2013 as a single program in Fargo, North Dakota has grown into a multi-state movement across the Midwest, reaching girls in North Dakota, Minnesota, South Dakota, Iowa, and Wisconsin.

This growth didn’t happen by accident. It happened because individuals stepped forward to lead.

We call them Site Directors.

A Site Director is the heart of a BIO Girls program in each community. It begins with one person raising their hand and saying, “This matters here.” From there, they bring the program to life. They advocate for the program within their community by recruiting a mentor team and participants. They organize logistics and fundraising. And they facilitate 12 powerful sessions focused on confidence, self-worth, and connection.

But Site Directors don’t do this alone.

BIO Girls invests deeply in every volunteer who takes on this role. From comprehensive training and relevant curriculum to ongoing staff support and a strong network of fellow leaders, we equip Site Directors with everything they need to succeed and to feel confident every step of the way.

Because when we support our volunteers, they can fully show up for the girls who need them most.

And that’s where the real impact happens.

Site Directors don’t just run a program. Their yes could change everything for a young girl’s life.

Hundreds of volunteers. One mission.

Our volunteers often tell us how they wish they had BIO Girls when they were younger and are now making sure the next generation has the tools to stand firm in their worth, be resilient to life’s challenges, and develop connection.

Marketing Lead

Each BIO Girls program is led by a volunteer Site Director, who is supported by a volunteer Marketing Lead!

As a BIO Girls program volunteer Marketing Lead, you’ll be the voice and energy behind our site’s outreach. You’ll partner closely with the Site Director during key pre-season efforts like fundraising, mentor recruitment, and registration awareness, helping to build excitement and momentum.

By managing the local site’s Facebook page and email communications with ready-to-use templates, you’ll create a welcoming and inspiring presence for our community. Throughout the program, you’ll step in as a mentor substitute when needed, actively collaborate with the Site Director, and champion our mission within the community.

Most importantly, you’ll be a positive force for our participants and mentors — encouraging growth, confidence, and connection every step of the way.

Interested? Contact us & share what community you’re in! We’d love to connect you to a program.
