meeT MARGIE WARNING!

BIO Girls Mentor in Davis County, Iowa

Connection, Growth, Faith.

Margie has been volunteering her time as a mentor for the past three years at the BIO Girls Davis County, Iowa site. We are so inspired by Margie’s time and passion that she has put into changing young girl’s lives.

BIO Girls is only made possible through the countless volunteers, like Margie, who step up to make it a reality for girls in their communities.

Margie– thank you, thank you, thank you! Our entire team, the girls you have made an impact on, and the Davis County community are so grateful for your time and commitment to BIO Girls.

Let’s get to know Margie more below!

  • Why BIO Girls?

    • I love BIO Girls! It is so fun and rewarding to work with the girls each session. I thoroughly enjoy getting to know them and watching them grow week to week. I especially love leading the devotional every week. Each devotional brings opportunity for participants to reflect on their daily struggles and how they can rely on Jesus more as they navigate their every day life.

  • Do you have a favorite lesson or mantra?

    • There are so many great lessons, it’s hard to pick! I really love how each session begins with a devotional that is seamlessly tied to the lesson ahead!

  • Do you have an impactful story to share from your volunteer experience?

    • I have been able to connect with one of the younger participants over the past 3 years. In the beginning, she had a difficult time paying attention and participating fully. It's been amazing to volunteer multiple years in a row and be a part of her growth and maturity. Last season she was so excited to run on her own!
