Christmas Blessings…Beyond Our Mission

It’s the most wonderful time of the year… for some. For others they are facing lost employment, medical issues, domestic violence and other circumstances that make the holidays difficult.

A few months ago, I was out to lunch with my teammates, Heidi and Macy. We had a conversation about the pandemic and the challenge it has created for everyone, including organizations who provide Christmas cheer to families in need. We had heard of several organizations who were unable to fulfill their mission this year leaving families who rely on their generosity reeling. The team at BIO Girls is filled with big hearts and get ‘er done attitudes and what happened next did not surprise me one bit. By the end of our lunch date, we had a plan to provide Christmas blessings to families in need.

We teamed up with Choice Bank and Vive Salon, two BIO Girls partners, and are set to send boxes filled with cheer to families in our region this Christmas season.  While this doesn’t perfectly fit our mission, we felt called to help in this small way to help make the season a little more wonderful for some deserving families.
