BIO Girls Art is Back for 2025!

BIO Girls is proud to announce that after piloting & testing, BIO Girls Art is back!

In 2024, the BIO Girls organization piloted a new program type: BIO Girls - Art presented by Marvin.

This new program followed our research-driven and proven confidence-building curriculum facilitated by volunteer mentors, replacing traditional physical activities (running, yoga, or cross-training) with creative arts!

Tested in Fargo, ND through two pilot programs, BIO Girls Art was an all around success!

The participants had an incredible time and from a research perspective, findings in participants included significant increases in self-esteem and decreases in anxiety, in line with results from traditional activity type programs.

Additionally, volunteers leading BIO Girls Art were witness to multiple areas of growth throughout the 12 weeks.

“Every week we witnessed participants embrace their individuality more and more. They grew in their willingness to try new things, and rather than giving up when they made a "mistake", they learned to see the beauty of it and work it into their art piece.”
